Dear Friends and Parishioners,
Last year Pentecost Sunday was on May 30, 2020. This weekend we celebrate Pentecost on May 23, 2021. Almost a year to the day, and what a difference a year makes!
As we have said and prayed all along, God would figure out when we might go back to something that looks a bit more like it did before. With our Churches fully opened and the removal of Covid restrictions by our Bishop we want all to feel welcome and to come back home to St. Mary’s – Moscow and Genesee. Since several people have asked, you may want to know that using a face covering is left up to the individual and you will not be asked if you are vaccinated. In Moscow we will have a few pews up front for those who want to social distance and the Choir loft will still be open.
I am happy to announce that we are moving back to a full weekend schedule on June 5/6, 2021. This is the Feast of Corpus Christi, The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. Mass times have changed, but we will still have room in the Church for everyone. We hope to have all our liturgical ministries up and running on that date or shortly thereafter.
PLEASE NOTE NEW MASS TIMES: At Moscow we will have Mass on Saturdays at 5:00 PM. Mass on Sundays in Moscow will be at 9:30 and 11:00 AM. Mass at Genesee will take place Sunday morning at 7:30 AM.
Our Parish Center is now fully opened and a whole variety of activities are coming back, including coffee hour, parish movie nights, Bingo, Bunko, and Bible Studies. Stay tuned.
Welcome back and Welcome home!
