Steubenville NW Youth Conference

Registration begins March 1, ends Apr 30, 2017

July 28—July 30 2017, Spokane, ~$215

Stay in Gonzaga U dorms, eat Friday dinner and breakfasts on campus, the venue for the event is at the Spokane Convention Center. Saturday lunch and dinner are catered at Riverfront Park. This is an amazing regional summer youth conference! Organized by Franciscan University, Steubenville, OH, hosted by Spiritus Ministries NW, Tacoma, WA.

 

North Idaho Catholic Youth Camp

(Registration open until full, fills every year!)

July 2017,  Wallace, ID $250

At the Shoshone Ranch Retreat ~30 NE of the Kingston exit on I90. For just entering the 5th grade to just graduated high school. This is a regional camp planned by families of St. George and St. Pius X.

 

Youth Car Wash Fundraiser

July, 2017, 9 am ~ 1:15 pm

All donations help youth attend Steubenville NW and Fun in the Son.

 

Fun in the Son

June 2017 Cottonwood ID, $10

Camp on the lawn of St. Mary’s Church. Afternoon and evening of fun including praise & worship, Sunway or brown bag dinner, Grangeville drive-in movie, talent show, Adoration, pancake breakfast.

 

Catholic Jr Hi Camp

Last day to register is in May

June 19-23, 2017. This is a Diocesan camp at Camp Perkins, Stanley, ID.

 

HS Leadership Camp

Last day to register is in May.

June 15-18, 2017, Camp Perkins, Stanley, ID

High School will grow in leadership skills and ability to defend their faith to peers.  This is a Diocesan camp.

 

Mission-Service Trip

Planning to begin soon for extended trip summer 2018.

Tentative plans to extend ICYC one day to include service to the poor and vulnerable in the Boise area.

Non-Gathered, Any-Time Retreats:

1-2-3 Retreat (non-gatherer retreat)

Each attendee will need to visit the 3-Minute Retreat online or down load the free App from Loyola Press. Confirmation candidate in Year 1 or 2 and 1 adult mentor (can be sponsor, parent or other adult) agree on a 2 week period in which to participate in the 3 Minute Retreat from Loyola Press - attending a minimum or 5 times each week. Each attendee briefly notes thoughts after each 3 Minute Retreat, arranging 2-3 times each week to meet or talk and reflect on the experience thus far. Youth needs to alert Dir of Youth & Children’s Ministries he/she will be entering this retreat and arrange a meeting the Dir within 2 weeks of finishing retreat.

National Catholic Youth Conference

All proceeds help with scholarships to Youth Leadership Retreat and ICYC.

Orders placed for pick up on Superbowl Sunday.

Donations help with scholarship  for ICYC2018.

Year-Round Non-Gathered “Retreats”

Links for standard event forms are on the right side. Some events may have specific registration forms beyond the medical Release and Code of Conduct forms. 

Registration deadlines for events vary from 2-4 weeks for local events, 2-4 months for state and regional events, and from  6-12 months for national or world events.

Scholarships are available through organizers of many events as well as through the parish. Fundraisers throughout the year help provide parish scholarships. Please talk to Marie Becker in the parish office about available scholarships.

Holy Week Reflection

(non-gathered retreat)

Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday

Youth and an adult mentor (can be sponsor, parent, other adult) work through Lectio Divina for each Gospel of the Triduum as well as video reflections for each day. Youth and adult meet 2-3 times to discuss reflections and share insight, questions, etc.

Youth finish retreat by writing 1-11/page reflection due within two weeks of Easter Sunday.

Crazy Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

May 2017. Much help is needed to help make and serve pancakes and sausage. Attendees can top with a wide assortment of toppings from traditional syrup to berries to ice cream and sprinkles. Helps with any remaining ICYC costs and with summer retreats and camps.
