Adult Formation, Fellowship & Leadership

At St. Mary’s, we try to offer a variety of opportunities for adults to share their faith, join in fellowship and serve in leadership and more meaningfully engage their minds and hearts in the Christian tradition.

Here we have listed our ongoing opportunities:

Bible Study, Faith Sharing, Adult Learning

We have a women’s bible study and faith sharing group that meets  on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6 pm. 

During the season of Lent, Lenten small faith groups form to break open each Sunday Gospel and for Lenten faith sharing.

Several Cursillo 4th Day and Ultreya groups meet weekly for faith sharing.

Our SALT Family Formation offers adult learning sessions during the monthly sessions for children. SALT Family Formation usually meets on the 2nd Sunday of the month, 9-10:30 am, Oct—Apr.

Lenten Adult Formation following Stations of the Cross the first four Fridays of Lent. Fr. Joe and our permanent Deacons give instruction on recent papal writings or other recent Church document. Lenten activities available for children.

Senior Gatherings

One Monday a month, 1-2:30 p.m., the senior members of the parish are invited to gather for social, lectures, games, faith sharing, etc.  The bus is available for those who need rides, please call the parish office before 11:30 am the day of the gathering. Watch the parish bulletin for dates and topics.

Mommy Mornings

On Wednesday mornings during the school year, mothers with young children are invited to gather in the Family Center after the 9 a.m.. They share fellowship, prayer and a formation piece. During the summer months, mothers gather in local parks with all their children for fellowship. Please contact Bobbi for more information and the current schedule.

Liturgy & Prayer






Prayer Shawl Ministry

Monday mornings, after the morning Communion Service, knitters, crocheters and quilters gather for fellowship as they work on their next special shawl, created with prayer and love, for someone in the military, grieving the loss of a friend or family member, health struggles, or just in need of prayerful comfort. Please call the parish office to find out more about this special ministry.

Coffee Social

Offered most Sundays after the both Masses, coffee social is a wonderful opportunity to meet new parishioners and catch up with those you know.

If you  or your family would like to help host a coffee social, please contact the Liturgy Committee Chairperson or the parish office.

Liturgy Committee

One Tuesday evening a month, the Liturgy Committee members come together to coordinate ministers and art and environment for weekly liturgical Masses, Liturgical Seasons, special celebrations like Easter Vigil, Confirmation and First Communion as well as weekly coffee social. If you or your family would like to know more about a liturgical ministry: music, sacristan, extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist, lector, hospitality, art & environment, coffee social, cleaning the church and/or serving on the Liturgy Committee,  please contact the Liturgy Committee Chairperson or the parish office.

Parish Council

One Monday evening a month, the members of the Parish Council gathers to help our pastor guide our parish. Individual council members serves as a liaisons to each of parish leadership groups: Finance Council, School Board, Liturgy Committee, Maintenance Committee, People to People Committee. Parish Council members are elected to three year terms, with 1/3 the council elected each Pentecost. If you are interested in serving on the parish council, please contact the Parish Council Chairperson or the parish office for more information.

Adult Choir

Monday evenings, from mid September through Advent and early to mid February through Lent, adults with a desire to sing come together to learn how to sing and harmonize. The Adult Choir sing one Sunday a month in Oct, Nov and Dec as well as the 9:30 pm Christmas Eve Mass, Easter Vigil Mass and 11:30 am Easter morning Mass. Adults in the choir build friendships, share fellowship and prayer.
